Who hid the Eid Lamb? deals with the trauma a child feels when she realizes that the sacrificial lamb, which has become her friend and companion is about to become the traditional feast meal. Fatoum"s parents had unwittingly allowed her to become attached to the sacrificial lamb. The problem is sensitively resolved by the Grandfather, who gently explains the story behind the sacrifice and then gives the lamb a reprieve. The story is told in flashback from a Grandmother to her Grandchildren.
