TWO FOR ONE • This was a trip which nearly didn't happen. It was ready to go when Gabrielle upended the beginning of 2023

GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME • I HAVE TO ADMIT, BEING WITH THIS CREW MADE ME FEEL OUT OF SHAPE AND OLD, AND THE STORY THAT FOLLOWS MAY RESONATE WITH SOME READERS. AFTER A FEW YEARS OF FAILED BALLOT APPLICATIONS, WE MANAGED TO SNAG A BLOCK IN PERIOD TWO OF 2020. BAGS WERE PACKED AND READY TO GO.

THE NANNY OF ALL CHAMOIS • THE MORNING BEGAN AS WE HIT THE ROAD BEFORE LIGHT, OUR DESTINATION BEING THE INLAND WILDERNESS OF THE WILD WEST COAST. WE ARRIVE AT OUR DESTINATION AT THE CRACK OF DAWN JUST BEFORE THE SUN BEGAN TO SLOWLY ASCEND OVER THE RIDGES.
