Myths & Warning Signs of Dementia

Travelling & Holidays with Dementia • Living with dementia does not mean you cannot travel. Travelling can be stressful and challenging but it can also be a very rewarding experience. Planning ahead can help ensure you have the best possible experience.

Finding a service I didn’t know existed • “It’s not the physical stress, it’s more the mental stress of it. It wears you down, it really wears you down,”says Adriana who is an unpaid Carer for her elderly parents.

Carers SA are here to help • People become Carers in different ways. Sometimes they start helping someone out bit by bit. Sometimes it happens suddenly, because of an accident or illness. Carers can be any age. Parents, grandparents, partners, siblings, friends and neighbours may all take on a caring role at some point in their life. There are more than 245,000 Carers in South Australia.
