Chase That Feeling • Two intrepid Australian adventurers have spent nine years travelling the world to film a travel documentary with a difference, a film that will give viewers a chance to experience something of the adrenaline rush of the extreme sports they love – surfing, snowboarding and skydiving.

WHIPPER SNAPPER

CAN’T MISS • Ever since it created the pro camera category with the legendary F back in 1959, there have been a number of flashes of design brilliance from Nikon, but the Z 9 mirrorless flagship is arguably the best thing it’s ever done.

NOW WITH EXTRA FIZZ • The X-T30 was a competitive package when it was launched back in February 2019 and now it’s been given a bit of a spruce up to keep pace with its rivals.

ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS 2021 • An image shot on film using a Mamiya RZ67 with a 75mm shift lens won the major prize in the ninth running of the Architectural Photography Awards.

CHAMPION SPRINTER • Canon makes the most of the mirrorless configuration with its speed-orientated prolevel EOS R series camera that boasts massive capabilities – especially in terms of its autofocusing – for both stills and video. And it’s brilliant ergonomically too. You’re going to want one.

WHEN TWO TRIBES GO TO WAR… • Today it’s more about bragging rights, but for a long time the head-to-head between the Canon and Nikon SLR/DSLR flagships was all about winning the hearts and minds of professional photographers. As their traditional rivalry enters a new era, we look back at how Canon and Nikon have slugged it out with each new generation of professional reflex cameras.

BASICC VALUES • Having the X-T30 II on test in this issue got us thinking about Fujifilm’s more affordable offerings from the days of its Fujica-branded 35mm SLRs.
