Edgar IS BACK IN THE LAND OF ITS ANCESTORS! • The arrival on a railway of a new steam locomotive in workingorderisnota frequentevent. This piece of news deserves a closer look …
Gang of Four • Nothing remotely political in the title above… We are talking here of a fine layout built by a group of friends!

BUILDING « MAJOR » the railcar that came in from the cold • As soon as we caught sight of it, we fell for this small steampowered railcar. So we decided to ask Charles Insley, its creator, to describe how he built it for the readers of Voie Libre.
The BellinzonaMesocco railway • Opened to services in two phases, on 3rd May and 31st July 1907, the Bellinzona-Mesocco (B-M) line served the Moesa valley, the river’s headwater being located below the San Bernardino Pass, in the Swiss canton of Grisons.
Saint-Michel-Saint-Cyran, Lingé and Chaventon: the smallest station buildings on the Blanc-Argent • In Issue n° 110 of Voie Libre, we had taken a look at the locomotives of the Petit Anjou and of the Chemin de Fer du Blanc à Argent (BA). We now travel to the part of the latter line located in Berry, to discover some less familiar stations.
Micros for all • It’s a current trend in the worls of railway modelling. One hundred percent modelling, a few steps away from the traditional large layout project. Here are a few creations, in many different scales, to prompt you to try your own hand… Unless you already have!
Squarefoot Mine
A wagon-load OF DIAMONDS • I am the happy owner of a fine 0 scale diesel tractor, but it has no wagon to haul! So I decided to build one, a beautiful one, so beautiful that it will be coated with… diamonds!
Integrating buildings INTO THE GROUND • Sometimes, we see on layouts buildings that are simply placed on the ground, leaving an unsightly and unrealistic gap between the baseboard and the bottom of the walls. Gilbert Gribi answers the question: should buildings be embedded into the ground? And he suggests a smart solution.
With digital control, MORE FREEDOM FOR YOUR TRACKS! • Whichever gauge or scale you model in, the range of DCC-fitted or DCC-ready narrow gauge locomotives has exploded over the last few years. So much so that it becomes tempting to switch to DCC and select a first central unit. T o help you make the right choice, we asked Éric Limousin for his expert advice.
