Atiqul Hoque • In May history was made in Salisbury when businessman Atiqul Hoque became the 762nd mayor of the city, and the first British Bangladeshi Muslim to take on the role. He explains when he first stepped foot in Salisbury he instantly felt at home.

Catherine Roper • Wiltshire’s new Chief Constable Catherine Roper has taken over a force in crisis after a damning inspector’s report placed it into special measures. But Gary Lawrence found a surprisingly upbeat woman on a mission when he met her.
