EXPOSURE
VOYAGER • Staking a fair claim as the best downwind foil film to date, Voyager follows local Jack Ho and the downwinder crew of O’ahu’s south shore, gloriously depicting the joys of riding open ocean swell lines, and Jack’s narration giving more than just a nod to how it all came about in the first place. It’s a must watch.
RYU ADEGAWA • Over to Japan for Rising Up this issue, and introducing Ryu Adegawa, a talented, multi-disciplined foiler who is also proficient in a range of other water sports… Not bad going for a ten-year-old.
JEREMY WILMOTTE • This wave is one of those top-secret waves for surfing. No cameras and heavily patrolled by grumpy surfers who try to protect their place of recreation. I never saw it as an issue though as it’s definitely not a foil wave, being so shallow and best known for being a perfect barreling wave. It’s definitely not going to be my regular spot for this reason, but it is crazy beautiful and I got to ride it alone with the photographer.
MADE IN FRANCE • With their R&D, production, assembly and testing all contained within their corner of France, French e-foil brand PWR-Foil are proud to have a localized setup that is at once efficient, innovative, reactive to customers, good for the local economy and minimizes its carbon footprint wherever possible. It’s something that owner Chris Defrance (seen above) is vocally passionate about… so we went and got The Lowdown.
WINGING DAKHLA • North riders Chucho Nonnot and Fabian Muhmentahler completed their first 2022 GWA World Tour Event in Tarifa and decided to pack their bags and set off in search of some desert vibes. Their destination? Dakhla, the Moroccan wingfoil mecca on the edge of Western Sahara.
THE EDGE OF REASON • The last-minute arrival of a heavy Atlantic swell onto the shores of Cape Verde sharpened the wits and skills of pro rider Clement Roseyro and pro photographer Samuel Cardenas, as they made their way out into the beefy line-up…
DYNAMICS IMPACT RESISTANCE WITH RRD • There’s always been a bit of a battle between functional and strong materials, and keeping boards light and agile… and with hard use comes hard knocks. This is an aspect of board design that Italian foil brand RRD have embraced and tackled head on. With the release of their new Beluga LTD board, they think they’ve nailed it. We spoke with the team to get more info…

THE FIJI FACTOR • Despite having been “friends online” for some time, Adam Bennetts and James Jenkins – arguably two of the world’s best prone foilers – hadn’t crossed paths in person, until circumstance delivered them both to the Fijian archipelago at the same time, along with grade-A conditions…
The Emerald HIGH WAY • There were a lot of moving parts in play as members of the Duotone and Fanatic wing team departed Germany in multiple campervans, setting out on a road trip toward the most westerly shores of Europe. Sadly, for one such member, the trip never even really got started. But for the rest, the (not so) wide open roads of Ireland beckoned…
NO DOWN DAYS • Remember those days when you had to wait out hours, twiddling those proverbial thumbs while staring at the distant horizon, willing a decent swell to arrive just so you could get out and...
