HUGO WIGGLESWORTH • We first came across Hugo Wigglesworth back in 2021, when he achieved a world dockstart pump record. Since then he’s been pushing hard in his preferred wing and kite disciplines… so it might not be the last world record he bags. One to watch.

SPRING WINGDING

BRYAN METCALF-PEREZ

NEW CALEDONIA • When he’s not traveling the world with a wing or perched on the top of a podium, Titouan Galea can be found at home in New Caledonia in the South Pacific, on an isolated reef break 18 miles out to sea. If this sounds like your kind of spot too… read on.

THE ARCTIC WINGLIFE • Immediate thoughts when someone mentions winging in the Arctic? Bone-aching cold, relentless blizzards, polar bears waiting for you on the shore and year-round thick neoprene, right? Well, wrong – except for the neoprene. And vanlife queen Kari Schibevaag knows this only too well.

SOUTH TO THE EL NORTE • Brandon Scheid’s job allows him the luxury of taking his work where conditions best allow. And in the winter, that happens to be Baja. When notified of a good-looking swell looming over the horizon, Brandon gathered the crew and a bunch of gear and off they set for the desert… to “work”.

CLOUDBREAK • Josh Ku’s dream of towing into one of the world’s most celebrated waves – on a foil – had to be timed to perfection. The universe aligned and that time finally came…

PRODUCTS WE LOVE

MADMEN AND HOLLOW DEATH SLABS • How much you’re frothing after reading the following feature could determine how willing you are to risk it for a biscuit. One thing’s for certain – no prisoners were taken on the epic Unifoil team trip to Bali. Read on…

Behind Barrels • What does it actually take to pull together a film and photoshoot in one of the world’s most prestigious line-ups? How far do the riders need to push it to get “the shot”? For CORE’s recent film Behind Barrels, team rider Willow-River Tonkin lays bare all the moving parts that come together to create the kind of images you’ll see in this magazine.

Old DOGS New TRICKS • In an event that brought together 11 young athletes from across Europe, the first-ever FreeWing Youth Wing Foil Progression Camp took place in Leucate, France. Hosted by FreeWing and under the guidance of pro rider and coach Fiona Wylde, the camp aimed to connect aspiring riders and elevate their skills as both riders and ambassadors for water sports. Amidst the youthful energy, two slightly more “seasoned” men – FreeWing ambassador Kristoffer Living and photographer Robert Almquist defied age stereotypes by joining the camp, embarking on a journey of both professional and personal growth.

Paradise FOUND

EAST COAST FOIL CLUB • On the east coastline of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, there has recently formed a core crew of riders and foil and board developers who are steadily building towards a definite “scene”, in much the same way that the West Coast Foil Club defined the early foil scene in the US. While still in its early stages, we went looking for a little background…

Shredheads • When the opportunity arose for best friends Noah Flegel and Alex Hayes to meet up during Noah’s travel layover, they wasted no time in pulling together everything they needed to go slab-hunting. And although the slabs never quite materialized, the good times (and plenty of airs) certainly...
