RECORD CROWDS AT TRACTOR WORLD • After horrendous rain, which lead to the cancellation of the three-day Race Retro at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, Tractor World at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern on 24-25 February came through with flying colours, even though the caravan and car parking had to be rethought due to the soft ground.

BIGGEST CROWD EVER AT SOMERSET VINTAGE • After the heavy winter we have been experiencing this year it was an uplifting experience to attend the Somerset Vintage Tractor Show at the Bath and West Showground on 27-28 January.

RETROMOBILE 2024 • Mike Neale visited France’s biggest and best historic transport show for Old Glory. It’s an event which always brings up some interesting things along the way and he wasn’t disappointed.

SHOW-STOPPER BURRELL! • A collaborative project has pulled off a superb show-stopping miniature. Sally Clifford finds out more….

BACK FROM THE GRAVE PART 3 • Old Glory looks at the amazing story of Peter Watkin’s Marshall traction engine that was stripped to pieces in the 1960s and left for dead on a West Country railway embankment, as we will see in this part two of the story.

INDIA 2024 • Simon Colbeck provides an update on heritage transport in North East India, including the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, one of the railway wonders of the world.

ON THE ROAD P2 • Allan Bedford looks at ‘The American Invasion 1914-20’ as US commercials arrived in the UK during the First World War.

“PRESERVATION CLASS” • Our hobby would be far poorer today if generations before us hadn’t taken the trouble to preserve the vehicles we cherish as they fell out of regular use. It now falls to us to continue preserving them with as much regard as possible for their proud history, says Zack Stiling.

THE FUTURE… RUNNING THE FRIENDS OF KING ALFRED BUSES CHARITABLE TRUST • Dave Vaughan talks to James Freeman, the Chairman of the Trust, to find out what the future holds for this active preservation group, following on from last month’s look at their New Year’s Running Day.

USES FOR STEAM WAGONS AROUND THE COUNTY OF YORKSHIRE PART 2 • The following introduction is included for those readers who may not have seen Part 1 of this article.
