SENTINELS RISE TO THE CHALLENGE IN WALES • David Reed made the trip to North Wales to watch some Sentinel steam waggons climb the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen, the traditional test route for Sentinel vehicles.

STOKE ROW RETURNS! STEAM AND VINTAGE RALLY 11-12 JUNE 2022 • Stoke Row rally returned with a bang on 11-12 June after the enforced absence of the last two years. Always a firm favourite on the rally calendar, this year the show was blessed with record visitor numbers, the weekend proving popular with day visitors and campers alike, reports Simon Colbeck.

WEST DORSET STEAMER STARS • West Dorset Vintage Tractor & Stationary Engine Club Ltd held their annual rally at West Bay, Bridport on 11 and 12 June by kind permission of Melplash Agricultural Society and Mrs K Pallister, writes Joseph Lewis.

BACK ON THE ROAD! • After being off the road for 32 years for a total rebuild, 1913 Marshall No. 61880 7hp GP traction engine was purchased by the Elphick family in 2020. The engine was back on the road over 12-14 August 2022. Old Glory followed its trip home from the weekend’s Rural Times Past Rally on Sunday 14 August.

DENNIS, THE FORGOTTEN CAR MAKER • When talking about British commercial vehicle manufacturers Dennis has always been up there, but did you know they made over 2000 cars? Zack Stiling tells us the full story thanks to John Dennis, as our prelude to the RAC VCC London to Brighton Run on Sunday 6 November.
