ROYAL ENTRANCE • You can see the Regal Boats plant when heading down the freeway from Orlando Airport to Disney World, Central Florida’s premier tourist attraction. TO THE ISLANDS • Both the journey and the destination have attractions for the cruising sailor, especially on Australia’s historic Moreton Bay, writes KEVIN GREEN.

FINE BY DESIGN • Innovision Boats is one of the first New Zealand boatbuilders to incorporate a plumb bow into its designs, a feature that was well-proven in Europe for some time. This gives the Innovision an extremely fine entry, which greatly reduces slamming and pitching in rough water. The other huge benefit of the vertical bow is the increased waterline length, which also contributes to the smooth ride.

ELECTRONICS PACKAGE

The New Zealand Boat Show – 1956 to present • The New Zealand Boat Show has been held – under a variety of names – every year since 1956, when it was first held at Auckland Showgrounds as part of that year’s Easter Show.

Go in the draw to WIN!

Festive family fishing essentials • Mark takes a break from his ‘Leaders in their fields’ series to suggest fishing items and techniques that will help Christmas holiday success.

Ultimate Charters takes biosecurity seriously • Ultimate Charters is entering its fourth year of operating under the Department of Conservation and Auckland Council’s Pest-Free Warrant programme.

BE IN TO WIN! • WET & FORGET IS GIVING AWAY A BUNDLE CONTAINING ONE OF EACH SALT SHAKER PRODUCT: FISHING TACKLE WASH AND BOAT & TRAILER WASH TO 5 LUCKY BOATING NZ READERS

Jetsprint battles fierce in Hastings • The Hastings Jetsprint Track witnessed some almighty battles between four classes of boats as the PSP New Zealand Jetsprint Championship’s 2022-2023 season roared into life on November 19.

THE BOATIE’S DREAM: A FREEHOLD BERTH IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD • As a boatie what could be better than a private, freehold berth at the end of the garden? With Hopper Developments’ latest release, securing such a property is again possible with new section releases at Whitianga and Marsden Cove.

Solid Spirit • Crafted by Auckland’s Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders (LSB) and launched in September 2022, the 24m expedition ketch Wind Spirit is an exceptional vessel which impresses on multiple fronts, but it’s her ‘design-for-purpose’ philosophy that’s most fascinating.

FRUGAL, TORQUEY JOHN DEERE

Summer reading essentials • A selection of interesting and unusual books for boat or bach.
